Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan has come forward and pledged to offer monetary help to 25,000 daily wage earners of the film industry, the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) said on Friday.
According to B N Tiwari, FWICE of President, the 55-year-old actor will be paying Rs 1,500 to every worker on monthly basis.
We got a confirmation from Salman Khan last night that he will help 25,000 workers with Rs 1,500 each monthly. We will soon finalise and send the list of the workers to those who are in dire need,” Tiwari told PTI. ....

Mumbai: While India continues to grapple with the COVID situation, several Bollywood stars and celebrities have started helping people either by arranging oxygen cylinders and medicines or by distributing food.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, fondly referred to as Sallu Bhai has decided to give Rs 1,500 each to 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry. The actor s manager is said to have contacted the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) to get the bank account details of the daily wage workers registered with the federation. ....

Covid India: Bollywood star Salman Khan to donate cash to each industry worker

The actor has been helping those direly in need of help during the pandemic.
With the Covid crisis raging across the country, Bollywood celebrities are contributing to help those worst-hit by the pandemic in the industry.
Salman Khan will be donating Rs1,500 to each of the 25,000 employees in the industry including technicians, make-up artistes, stuntmen and spotboys.
“We have sent Salman Khan a list of the names of people in need and he has agreed to deposit the money,” said B.N. Tiwari, president, Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE). ....

The Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a fresh set of guidelines to be followed by members of the film industry in view of the partial lockdown imposed in Maharashtra till April 30.
The guidelines have been issued in view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, particularly in Maharashtra. In a press release, the president of FWICE, B N Tiwari, General Secretary Ashok Dubey, Treasurer Gangeshwar Srivastav, and Chief Advisors Sharad Shelar with Ashoke Pandit said, The office-bearers of FWICE had a Zoom meeting with the honourable chief minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray. The FWICE has assured the CM that the industry will be responsible where the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) of the COVID guidelines are concerned. FWICE in coordination with experts has laid down guidelines which all people involved in pre-production, shooting and post-production work will have to adhere to. ....
