The Senate was informed on Thursday that various projects have been started under Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP) to realize the promise made by Prime Minister Imran Khan for construction of five million houses.
Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan told the House during question hour on Thursday that forty-five thousand low cost housing units are under construction all over the country including in Lahore, Nowshera, Islamabad and Peshawar.
The Adviser said that the private sectors have submitted one hundred and eighty proposals to Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority for construction of more than three million housing units. Out of these forty five projects comprising seventy thousand housing units have been shortlisted. Work on these projects would start very soon. ....

Islamabad : Residents of sectors G-13 and G-14/4 have expressed anger and anxiety over growing incidents of theft and dacoity in the two new regular sectors on the western boundary of Zone-III of Islamabad Capital Territory
It is almost a year when dacoits started showing their mussel in G-14/4 which is mostly inhabited by former Quaid-i-Azam University professors and employees. In March, the series of dacoities where two or three persons mostly on motorbike break into houses and fled away with valuables including cash, prize bonds and jewellery.
The locals said the street criminals were so daring that at times they stayed in the burgled house for even one or two hours. Some made tea and enjoyed food and fruits stored in refrigerators. At times, they even offered tea to hostage inmates. They very politely addressed the QAU former faculty saying that teaching is a noble job and they respect it to the core of their hearts but they are helpless ....

NAB To File Reference Against Former PIA Chairman Over Corruption
The National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) executive board meeting (EBM) has approved filing references against the former Chairman of Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Abdul Ghani Majeed, and PIA’s Managing Director Ejaz Haroon.
Majeed and his accomplices have been accused of allowing illegal allotment of plots in the Overseas Cooperative Housing Society Limited (Kidney Hills), Karachi, and for their payment through fake bank accounts, which has inflicted heavy losses to the national exchequer.

NAB to file reference in illegal land allotment case - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday approved filing of a reference against Ejaz Haroon, former chairman of the Pakistan International Airlines, Abdul Ghani Majeed of Omni Group and others in an accountability court for their alleged involvement in illegal allotment of plots in Overseas Cooperative Housing Society, Kidney Hills, Karachi.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the bureau’s executive board presided over by NAB chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
According to a press release issued by NAB, the suspects were also involved in making payment for the plots through fake bank accounts which inflicted heavy losses on the national exchequer. ....

ISLAMABAD:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday accorded approval to file a reference against former Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) chairman Aijaz Haroon, Omni Group head Abdul Ghani Majeed and others in the fake bank accounts case.
They are accused of illegally allotting plots of Overseas Cooperative Housing Society Limited (Kidney Hills) Karachi and making payments through fake bank accounts, which caused a huge loss to the national exchequer.
The decision was taken during the Executive Board Meeting of the anti-graft watchdog chaired by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal at NAB headquarters. ....
