CO2CRC’s Chief Executive, David Byers, announced today that CO2CRC has established a wholly-owned subsidiary company, CO2Tech Pty Ltd (‘CO2Tech’).
“We have established CO2Tech to meet the growing customer need for multi-disciplinary technical consultation, advisory and project management services across the whole CCUS value chain.” said Mr Byers.
CO2Tech will have access to the Otway International Test Centre (OITC) and CO2CRC’s expertise via commercial agreements.

Advisor to the Prime Minister for Institutional Reforms and Austerity Measures Ishrat Husain and Federal Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro on Sunday travelled from the City Railway Station to the railway station in Orangi by the Karachi Circular Railway-II (KCR) track.
Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways Karachi Muhammad Hanif Gul welcomed the visiting cabinet members at the City Station and accompanied them along with the KCR Project Director Ameer Mohammad Daudpota and divisional officers.
The cabinet members had a detailed outlook of the en route railways infrastructure especially the right-of-way retrieved along the 14 kilometres of the recently rehabilitated track between the City and Orangi stations. ....

The proceedings relate to errors that were reported to ASIC by CommSec and AUSIEX. CommSec and AUSIEX have engaged extensively and co-operatively with ASIC. ASIC has today also filed with the Federal Court and published on its website a Statement of Agreed Facts and Contraventions, recognising that co-operation and that CommSec and AUSIEX do not intend to defend the proceedings.
The proceedings relate to issues in respect of regulatory data requirements, trade confirmation requirements (primarily related to exchange traded options), best execution requirements and reconciliations of client monies. In addition, for CommSec only, the proceedings relate to issues in respect of brokerage payments, warrant agreement forms and automated order processing filters. ....

ASIC has commenced civil penalty proceedings in the Federal Court against Commonwealth Securities Limited (CommSec) and Australian Investment Exchange Limited (AUSIEX) for alleged breaches of the Market Integrity Rules, Corporations Act and ASIC Act (CommSec only) relating to systemic compliance failures in the delivery of financial services.
ASIC alleges the conduct spanned a significant period of time and involved failures across multiple systems and business areas. Commsec and AUSIEX submitted over 60 notifications to ASIC relating to the conduct.
It is ASIC’s view that the number, breadth and duration of the conduct is significant and indicates the entities did not have adequate systems and processes in place to ensure compliance with their relevant obligations under their Australian Financial Services licence (AFS licence) and pursuant to the Market ....
