The condition of 25 lakes in Bengaluru might improve in the next two years, if we are to believe the promises made by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Under three different grants, a total allocation of close to Rs 130 crore has been earmarked towards rejuvenating these lakes. This also features in
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s pet project Bengaluru Mission 2022. Meanwhile,
lake enthusiasts want the
BBMP to take the local residents into confidence while implementing the project. ....
