Thursday, May 20, 2021 - 12:57 pm CANTON – Taylor Park Beach will open this year, starting Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 29- Monday, May 31, according to Canton Recreation Department. It will be open weekends in June, and then full-time beginning Monday, June 28 Beach hours for the summer will be Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Swimming lessons for all levels will be offered at the Canton Central School pool during the month of July, between 8 and 11 a.m. For questions, contact beach director Anita Francis at [email protected].

Sunday, March 7, 2021 - 8:01 am CANTON A group of more than 20 has been meeting with the Village and Town Recreation Committee since mid-December to “Reimagine Canton Recreation.” Following five virtual meetings and substantial discussion and idea sharing, the advisory group has drafted a set of recommendations for the future of Canton recreation. Public input is being sought. The recommendations reflect an understanding of available resources and the direction Canton residents would like to see for Canton municipal recreation programs and facilities. While members of the advisory groups have received input from others in their interest areas, the Recreation Committee is now seeking broad public feedback on the recommendations. ....
