The Auckland Hearts beat the Canterbury Magicians in the Super Smash at Hagley Oval on Monday.
Bella Armstrong scored 39 off 29 balls before taking a crucial wicket as the Auckland Hearts moved to the top of Twenty20 Super Smash table with a 20-run win over the Canterbury Magicians on Monday.
She shared in a vital partnership with her captain, Lauren Down, who made 33 off 39 balls, putting on 63 runs in 8.4 overs in the middle of their innings as they posted 138-4 from their 20 overs.
Then with the match in the balance, she claimed the crucial wicket of Kate Ebrahim, who was on 31 off 35 balls and leading the way for the Magicians at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. ....

The Otago Sparks were too strong for the Central Hinds in the Super Smash on Friday.
Otago Sparks opener Polly Inglis made an unbeaten 43 off 38 balls to guide her side to an emphatic win over the Central Hinds in the Twenty20 Super Smash at University of Otago Oval on Friday.
She hit five fours as she helped the Sparks chase down their target of 103 with seven wickets in hand and 28 balls to spare and register their second win of the season.
Fellow opener Millie Cowan made 20 off 18 balls while White Ferns Hayley Jensen and Katey Martin added 17 off 15 and 13 off 14 respectively as the hosts made light work of their chase in Dunedin. ....

Twenty20 Super Smash: Anna Peterson booms Auckland Hearts to victory over Otago Sparks

This time Peterson saw it very well early, hitting nine fours and a six as she and Katie Perkins (25 off 24) added 74 off eight overs for the second wicket.
Peterson was eventually stumped by White Fern Katey Martin in the 15th over as the Hearts posted a competitive but not unbeatable total.
