Rockstar told PC Gamer this week: “After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that player t0st did, in fact, reveal an aspect of the game code related to load times for the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved. As a result of these investigations, we have made some changes that will be implemented in a forthcoming title update.
However, while improvements have been noted on the PC platform, Xbox gamers have been reporting issues.
This includes problems with GTA Online crashing straight to the home screen, leaving gamers unable to play. A smaller patch is expected to arrive very soon to remove the issue, along with any other issues that may have arisen.
However, this week has seen the development team add something a little extra a full day before. GTA 5 Update 1.36 was released a day early, bringing with it more than just new bonuses.
The good news is that Rockstar has included some important bug fixes for the Cayo Perico and one of the game’s new vehicles. The only downside is that this isn’t a content update, meaning that no new cars or missions have been added to the game.
Rockstar Games released a very limited list of patch notes for today’s GTA 5 update, which can be found listed below:
The Vetir is available now from Warstock Cache & Carry and includes plenty of room to transport your squad in, with a starting price set at $1,222,500.
A new treasure hunt is also available this week, which challenges gamers to find ten caches hidden around the map.
“Intrepid treasure-hunters and seafarers who manage to scour the ocean floor for 10 Hidden Caches this week will get a reward to the tune of GTA$100,000 next week. Hop in an Avisa or Toreador, turn on your Sonar, and get hunting. There’s also scuba gear available in your Kosatka for those who prefer to get hands-on.”
It also looks like finding Treasure Chests counts towards your daily collectables list, although this hasn’t been confirmed by Rockstar Games.
If you have already found all the Treasure Chests you can today, there is another big bonus worth checking out.
Players taking on the Cayo Perico Heist who collect five Hidden Caches will be rewarded with an additional gift of GTA$100,000.
This was confirmed today by Rockstar Games as a new Heist reward, alongside these other GTA 5 Online bonuses:
Treasure Chests around Cayo Perico, which can be found on land and underwater during Scoping Missions for The Cayo Perico Heist
