Electricity restored in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pesco

By PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced hours-long loadshedding on Sunday due to apparent fault at the national transmission lines.
A spokesman for the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) said electricity to most parts of the provincial capital and 41 areas of KP, besides 23 major hospitals, was restored following the other night’s electricity breakdown in the country.
He said that following the country’s wide electricity breakdown, work on restoration of electricity in all affected areas had been expedited in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where 40 to 41 percent electricity from feeders restored till 3pm on Sunday.
Out of 27 major hospitals, he said, electricity to 23 hospitals was restored in KP. Electricity of one 500 KV grid station, two 220 KV grid stations, 57 grid stations of 132 KV and four grid stations of 66KV had been restored. ....

PESHAWAR: The Board of Governors (BoG) Khyber Teaching Hospital Friday took number of policy decisions including restoration of the post of Senior Registrar and Junior Registrar.
The BoG directed Hospital Director Prof Dr Rooh-ul-Muqim to take action to expedite the ongoing renovation projects for in timely completion of civil work. Hospital Director Prof Dr Rooh-ul-Muqim brought forward the hard working and experienced employees for completion of task.
The restoration of medical gasses for new A&E block and old block will be started on emergent basis. All the purchases of equipment and drugs under the domain of hospital director are going on at war footing basis for the betterment of patient care. ....

KARACHI: Kamran Ghulam, Adil Amin and Israrullah hit solid fifties to guide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 285-7 in their first innings on the opening day of their five-day final of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (first-class) against Central Punjab here at National Stadium on Friday.
Kamran (76), Adil (75) and Israrullah (61) did a remarkable job on a tricky track to enable KP to reach a reasonable total in 89.2 overs at stumps.
