Applications for Takeover Melbourne 2021 will be closing on 25 June. High school students across Melbourne are invited to submit a story about their life for a chance to work with ABC producers and have their story featured on ABC TV, radio or online. The competition creates a powerful platform for young Melburnians to be heard.
High school students are invited to enter their story by Friday June 25 2021 at ABC Takeover.

Sam Ellis s best friend Jai Reed was in the waiting room when Sam was born, and for the next 16 years they were inseparable.
Their mothers were childhood best friends and the two boys — born six months apart — looked set to extend that bond for another generation.
Jai was this really outgoing kid, there wasn t a single person that met him that didn t love him, Sam said. ....
