Kolkata: The Kolkata Police has decided to make big security arrangements for Christmas and put on duty 1,000-1,500 police on and around Park Street. The figures are more than the other years.
With an extended weekend, the police expect a sizeable crowd in the zone surrounding Allen Park. An officer told the Times of India, “The deployment details are still being finalised. The area will be divided into multiple zones and deputy commissioners of police will be in charge of each zone.” ....
