Two Canada-wide warrants had been issued for Dyllan Petrin, 19. Surrey RCMP said Petrin was found hiding out in Vancouver and was arrested Jan. 19. He was brought to Winnipeg and charged Saturday with first-degree murder in the killing of Cody Alexander Sleigh, 31.

A dangerous gangster wanted on separate murder and kidnapping charges has been found in Vancouver after nine months on the run.
According to the Surrey RCMP, Dyllan Petrin was captured on Tuesday in his Vancouver hideout by the Surrey RCMP strike force target team, Surrey RCMP high risk target team, Lower Mainland district integrated emergency response team and Vancouver Police Department emergency response team.

A suspect connected to a murder that occurred in Winnipeg last year was located and arrested in Vancouver this week after a search that lasted for several months.
Surrey RCMP stated on December 20 that a search for Dyllan Petrin began last year when his court-ordered electronic-monitoring ankle bracelet was cut off on May 28, 2020, while he was out on bail.
Petrin had been arrested in July 2019 during an investigation into a kidnapping and assault that month, and he had been held in custody until he was released under court-ordered conditions on February 2020. ....
