Delaney signs with Ice Wolves The hockey season might be paused, but the La Ronge Ice Wolves have been busy. The Ice Wolves have inked local product Cobe Delaney to a letter of intent. The 2003-born forward has played for the Warman Wildcats and the Beardy’s Blackhawks in the U18 AAA ranks. “I’ve been watching the Wolves like my whole life, ever since I was a little kid,” said Delaney. “It just kind of feels awesome to be knowing that I’ll hopefully be playing with them next season if I really work hard at it.” In seven games this season with Warman, Delaney has recorded four points. ....
White commits to Maryville Jaxon White of the La Ronge Ice Wolves has committed to Maryville University in St. Louis for the 2021-22 season. The 2000-born defenceman has spent time in the SJHL with the Flin Flon Bombers and the La Ronge Ice Wolves. In 61 SJHL regular season games, the Warman product has recorded 15 points and 77 penalty minutes. “Maryville always seemed to be the most interested in me and seemed to be the best fit for me,” said White. “When I was talking to Jeff Crenshaw, their head of scouting and assistant coach, he really worked with me on what I needed to get there. He kind of wouldn’t leave me alone, he was always in touch with me.” ....
