NAVI MUMBAI: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in Maharashtra has seized over 2,000 kg of illegal plastic bags from Agricultural produce market committee (APMC) wholesale market on Thursday.

Under municipal commissioner Abhijit Bangar s anti-plastic drive, a civic team seized over 2,000 kg of plastic bags from L N Trading Company inside APMC market, in sector 19A. A penalty of Rs 15,000 has been slapped on the company in this regard, said a civic official.
The Koparkhairane ward officials were carrying out an anti-plastic drive led by additional municipal commissioner Sujata Dhole. ....
