Morrison serves up a rorted Building Better Regions Fund favouring Coalition electorates, Berejiklian returns serve with handouts to amalgamating councils – except the bulk of the funding went to Liberal-controlled LGAs, some of whom were not even amalgamating (Hornsby council, anyone?). Morrison then replies with the infamous sports rorts program, so Berejiklian replies with her Stronger Communities Programme. Morrison then hits a winning backhand with $30 million for land belonging to a favoured donor in Leppington in western Sydney when the land was only valued at $3 milli ....

The federal disclosure scheme is not working. We have become a nation of shruggers. Politicians shrug off this and their lack of integrity and accountability. Voters shrug this off as they know that is just what politicians do. Enough of shrugging. We want changes to this system and perhaps action on the problems of climate change will happen.
