Ella Amir channels her amazing kindness into energizing family caregivers

Ella Amir’s credo at AMI-Quebec is that
Marc Griffin, program coordinator at AMI-Quebec , spent 10 days in hospital with a major infection during the autumn of 2019. Once he was home, Ella Amir, executive director of the Montreal-based community organization, brought over dinner.
“How many bosses,” he asked, “would do that?”
The answer is probably not many. But then Amir, who in January marked 31 years at the helm of AMI-Quebec Action on Mental Illness, is no ordinary boss.
