Ranchi: The Jharkhand high court on Monday resumed the physical mode of hearing cases on an “experimental basis”.
A division bench of Justice H C Mishra and Justice Rajesh Kumar took up 10 cases during the day at the court room. Registrar general Ambuj Nath later said the “experiment” has been successful as all Covid protocols were adhered to. He added that after Monday’s development, more courts should take up physical hearing of cases in the near future.
The court room has been modified and double layers of glasses have been installed to separate the judges from court staff and advocates. All judges, advocates and staff have been asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing at the court premises, said a judicial officer. ....
