ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) A nonprofit leader in Monroe County is changing its name.
The Volunteer Legal Services Project will now be known as JustCause.
For 40 years, the organization of local attorneys has provided pro bono legal services to tens of thousands of community members in need.
They re hoping the name change will make more people aware of their services, so they can continue to provide legal representation to everyone.

The old name, Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County Inc., was a very long name and we ve actually outgrown it, Executive Director Tina Monshipour Foster said. It s more than a project. It was a great name and very well-known in the community, but JustCause at this moment in time, we ve grown beyond that and we re doing so much more.
