Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC) would be reopened through
Public-private partnership to create new jobs.
“Bangladesh is the first country in the world to take the
initiative to reopen the country’s closed textile mills through PPP
(Public Private Partnership). If these closed mills are reopened, new
employment opportunities will be created in these industries,” he

Dealers or warehouse owners can now store a maximum of 1,000 maunds of raw jute for only one month, Jute and Textiles Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi said yesterday.
The government has set the limits to ensure smooth supply of the raw jute in the local market and speed up export, he said. ....
