Freedom of expression Govt s top priority: Shibli

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz has said that ensuring complete freedom of expression as provided in the 1973 Constitution is the top priority of the current government.
The Minister said even a casual reader of the newspapers and viewers of the talk shows will testify the freedom of expression in the country as compared to any other western democracy.
Shibli Faraz assured the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure freedom of press in the country, and to ensure the safety and security of the journalists. ....
