February 17, 2021 The Coastal Carolina University Gupta College of Science, in collaboration with the Engineering Science program, is hosting its inaugural Engineering Week (EWeek) on Feb. 22-26, 2021. The week’s events will give CCU students and select area high school students the opportunity to learn more about career opportunities from engineering professionals. EWeek was founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers in conjunction with President George Washington’s birthday, Feb. 22. Washington is considered the nation’s first engineer, notably for his survey work. EWeek is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. ....
