Kulbhushan case: IHC summons Indian HC counsel to submit reply

ISLAMABAD: On the request of Law and Justice ministry for appointment of a lawyer to contest the appeal of India’s spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in the light of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) verdict, a larger bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday adjourned ministry’s petition till April 8.
The hearing was adjourned without proceedings due to the absence of attorney general for Pakistan owing to his being infected by COVID-19. The court, however, summoned Indian High Commission’s counsel on April 8, to provide replies into the matter.
A larger bench, headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah, and comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, heard the case. Additional Attorney General Tariq Khokhar and Deputy Attorney General Tayyab Shah appeared before the bench and apprised it that AGP Khalid Javed couldn’t attend the proceedings due to his being infected by COVID-19. KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has asked Karachi Traffic Police officials to submit a traffic plan for Burns Road as it has been causing problems for the residents of the area.
The court s order came during the hearing of a petition filed against Burns Road Food Street. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) traffic appeared in the court on behalf of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) traffic police.
The petitioner said the road is closed every day from 6pm onward as a result of which residents of the area suffer severely . ....

In the wake of the 2Q20 oil demand collapse, OPEC+ struck an unprecedented deal to remove nearly 10mn b/d of supply from the market. Now, with Brent trading into the $60-65 range, we expect OPEC+ to counter, adding more than 1.3mn b/d of supply in 2Qe and ramping further into year-end to keep prices and balances in check. Over the medium term, we think OPEC+ coordination will likely continue as the group wields its spare capacity in an effort to manage prices. GCC countries will likely have to carry meaningful spare capacity as demand growth slows and modest non-OPEC+ increases fill the gap. ....
