SURAT: The Samast Patidar Samaj in association with the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) has organised a job fair for the unemployed youths from its community on December 27 in Katargam area of Surat. The job seekers have been asked to submit an online application with their requirement and the community leaders have approached the employers from the diamond, textile, food processing and engineering sectors for registration. Velji Sheta, president of Samast Patidar Samaj told TOI, “This is our first job fair for the community youths seeking employment. Patidar samaj has been doing a lot of activities for the upliftment of the community and its youth. However, during the lockdown many youths lost their jobs and there is a need to reinstate them with better wages.” ....
