Being forced to close his doors for a third time during the COVID-19 pandemic while other businesses stay open is a “slap in the face,” says a Chatham gym owner.
Dave Miller of the Performance 360 Health and Fitness Club said he can’t get an explanation from municipal and provincial officials for why health clubs and gyms are among the first to close and the last to reopen during lockdowns.

“Nobody’s been able to provide any justification for it,” he said.
Before Ontario’s stay-at-home order went into effect Thursday, Performance 360 and other gyms were already closed because of the provincewide lockdown that began April 3. ....
