SANTA MARIA — The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a Saturday night shooting that left three people hospitalized.
According to a news release from the police department, officers received reports at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday regarding gunshots heard near the 1200 block of North Mary Drive.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting near a home and started conducting a shooting investigation, according to the news release.
Shortly after law enforcement secured the scene, police saw a car arriving at the Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria with three adults inside, all of whom had multiple apparent gunshot wounds, officials said. Authorities said the three adults were residents of Santa Maria. ....

Santa Maria police investigate deadly shooting

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday evening.
Around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of W. El Camino Street after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.
Upon arriving, police said they found a man with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld at this time pending notification to next of kin.
Police said all suspects had fled the scene prior to their arrival.
The Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating this crime and is asking for the public’s assistance.  ....

Santa Maria police are seeking the public's help solving a 2018 murder

Two years following the shooting death of a teen in Santa Maria, police are asking the public for help in solving the murder.
On the afternoon of Dec. 8, 2018, police officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Thornburg Street and West Enos Drive and found Adrian Alvarez, 18, suffering from a gunshot wound. Alvarez was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
Santa Maria police say detectives are continuing to actively seek information about the case. It is unclear what, if any, leads they have developed.
