Ellis Party Store sustained significant damage after the May dam failures and regional flooding. Now, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and organizations, the Sanford business has a chance to start anew.
Mike Ellis established Ellis Party Store 36 years ago and currently runs the store with his daughter, Heather Ellis, who joined the business about 20 years ago. When the floods brought five feet of water into the building, everything was destroyed including the five new gas pumps they had installed in 2019 and the back buildings containing the store’s inventory. ....
