Trailing 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning, the Frontier bats got to work on Thursday.The visiting Redhawks sent nine batters to the plate in what amounted to a five-run inning, leading to a come-from-behind 8-4 victory over Pioneer in a Franklin.

The Turners Falls and Frontier softball teams have had plenty of time to stew over their championship game losses two years ago.
The Thunder blitzed through the Western Mass. Div. 3 tournament, crushed Hopedale in the state semis but fell to Austin Prep in the championship game. The seventh-seeded Redhawks made a run of their own in the Western Mass Div. 2 tourney, reaching the championship game before losing to Hampshire at UMass.
