Journal’s camera clubbers have been busy exploring nature and landscapes in and around Salisbury.
Here are some of the editorial team’s favourite snaps from the last few days.
There is no theme for July’s competition, meaning for one month only members can enter their best or most favourite images to be considered for the ‘photo of the month’ accolade.
From creatures to weather, scenery to portraiture, we have already been inundated with lots of entries.
The winners will be revealed in the
Journal on July 29. ....

Journal’s camera club is provided with a theme, and it is up to budding photographers to present that theme as much as possible through pictures.
For July however there is no theme, meaning for one month only members can enter their best or most favourite images to be considered for the ‘photo of the month’ accolade.

Salisbury Journal Camera club goes yellow for June, 2021

Journal’s latest camera club competition have been revealed.
Last month we asked camera clubbers to focus on the colour ‘Yellow’, to bring a summery and happy feel to both the group and our readers.
Judged by the editorial team, first place was awarded to Tracey Crowley for her picture of a duckling among yellow-centred flowers, due to the positioning, colour coordination and the warm feelings it brings.
Second place was secured by Claire Sheppard for her close-up action shot of a busy bee, for its level of quality and detail, emphasised by the blurry backdrop.
Charlene Thornborough received third place with her animal photography, capturing a paw-fect pose. ....

Journal’s Camera Club winners for March.
With ‘Hope’ as the theme, members have been busy snapping images of wildlife, the beginning of spring, progress in the Covid-19 vaccination rollout and glorious weather.
Voted for by the
Journal’s editorial team, first place was awarded to Tracey Crowley for her powerful shot of a swan, with the cathedral perfectly aligned in the background.
