SRINAGAR, Apr 24: Police today arrested three persons who allegedly decamped with cash from a Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branch in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district two days ago.
Police said they are involved in three other robberies this year in the Valley and killing of a former SPO earlier this month.
They have been identified as Nisar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Singhpora Pattan, Rahil Ahmad Parray son of Bashir Ahmad Parray of Kanihama Magam and Arif Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir of Mazhama. ....

Daarul Muhsinaat, an orphanage in Singhpora Pattan, the thought of having a library was an unreal one until Covid-19 happened.
“The girls started to become extremely tense because of the closure of schools and as much as I tried, I couldn’t teach them every subject,” Fahmeeda Mir, warden of the all-girls-orphanage, said. The Kashmir schools were shut for seven months when the Covid-19 lockdown took over, thus creating a sense of anxiety and distress. Inmates found it suffocating to spend days at ‘home’. Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], February 28 (ANI): The young singers of North Kashmir s Singhpora Pattan are working for the revival of the folk and classical forms of Kashmir s music by making folk albums.
With the help of some senior folk singers, the young artistes are making musical albums in a private studio and selling them in the local market.
