SIBU: A densely populated Zone 7, comprising Jalan Tiong Hua and its surroundings, here and Zone 15 (Sentosa) may come under an enhanced movement control order, following a spike in cases on Wednesday (Feb 24).
Zone 7, which is one of 34 zones, recorded 19 more cases, bringing the total to 171 so far while Zone 15 also saw an uptick with 19 new cases recorded Wednesday, bringing the total to 112 cases.
Assistant Housing and Local Government Minister Dr Annuar Rapaee said, in a Facebook livestream Wednesday, that the Sibu Disaster Management Committee will propose an enhanced MCO in Zone 7 to the state disaster management committee.
