Residents from local senior living facilities received COVID-19 vaccine doses this week.
Tenet Health Central Coast says it vaccinated three bus-loads of eligible seniors Wednesday at Sierra Vista Regional Medial Center.
The seniors were from The Villages and Las Brisas.
Because seniors ages 65 and older are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in San Luis Obispo County, Tenet Health says it worked with both facilities to find eligible recipients.
Tenet Health says it was an emotionally uplifting day for seniors, caregivers and staff, adding that one senior cried with happiness over receiving the vaccine.
The Villages provided transportation for residents at both facilities. ....
