Mel Parsons is right to line up a tour playing songs from her own impressive catalogue. Beginning September 9th, Parsons will be celebrating August single
Carry On and treating audiences through Ōtautahi, Pōneke, Auckland and Hamilton to both unreleased tracks and well-loved songs from albums past. Carry On will be her first new offering since sharing her Aotearoa Music Award winning fifth album

Rock The Folk is a celebration of alt-rock and indie-folk by two of Auckland’s hardest working acts Sam Bartells and Albi & The Wolves. The event will take place in Tamaki Makaurau’s waterfront venue The Tuning Fork on Friday 18th of June 2021.
Bartells’ career has skyrocketed since signing his first record deal with Reslau Records in 2019, which allowed him to hone his craft and record with some of Nashville’s best and brightest. In 2020 his debut E.P.
Let’s Go gained international praise, and was recently followed up with a brand new single ‘Queen Of Hurt’. His gritty and honest songs are brought to life with his stunning vocals that are reminiscent of the late Chris Cornell. His acoustic roots and relatable lyrics tie together well with Albi & The Wolves. ....

Kiwi folk duo Tattletale Saints win second Tūī at Auckland Folk Festival

Tennessee-based New Zealand duo Tattletale Saints won the 2021 Tui for Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa, Best Folk Artist at the Auckland Folk Festivalon the weekend.
The group won for their third studio album, Dancing Under The Dogwoods. This is the second time the duo has won Best Folk Artist, winning in 2014 for their album How Red Is The Blood.
Made up of Cy Winstanley and Vanessa McGowan, Tattletale Saints crafted an album which showcases the band s perfectly intertwined harmony vocals and Winstanley s clever yet emotional songwriting. ....
