Images of a narrow road cut on a breathtaking mountain ridge in Chongqing went viral recently.
The road on Daobeiliang (meaning back of a knife blade in Chinese) from Liutang village to Dafengmen in Chongqing s Shizhu Tujia autonomous county is truly spectacular.
Dafengmen, or the gate of the gale, located on the main ridge of Qiyao Mountain, features 12 peaks at altitudes above 1,800 meters. It is named for the year-round roaring wind in the area, which is being tapped by wind power turbines. ....

After assembling a stunning line-up of events and attractions, the Warkworth A&P Show committee were biting their nails late last month as the Auckland region went into level 3 lockdown.
Last year’s A&P Show had to be cancelled at the last minute due to a similar Covid-19 lockdown, prompting fears the 2021 show could suffer the same fate.
However, show secretary Penny Webster says the committee is pushing ahead with planning for the 153rd Show, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 20, at Warkworth Showgrounds.
Penny says plenty of the usual favourites will be there, including woodchopping and shearing competitions, miniature horses, dog agility demonstration and goat competitions. ....

There is a new roller coaster coming to the Middle East that will travel 155 miles per hour. Let me repeat that 155 miles per hour! Most cars don t even go that fast.
The rollercoaster is currently under construction and will be the center of attention at the Six Flags in Saudi Arabia and will not be built until 2023. It s called Falcon s Flight and is already being named the most extreme roller coaster in the world. I ll say it is and you may agree after seeing this video. I just want to meet the person who is excited about getting on this thing. I m good. ....
