Lithuanian airlines calculate costs of flying around Belarus

After Lithuania decided to ban flights over Belarus, airlines are assessing the additional costs they will incur rerouting their planes around the neighbouring country. Flying times to some destinations may increase by up to 30 minutes.
The Lithuanian government decided on Monday to bar the country s airports to planes crossing the Belarusian airspace. The ban came into effect at 03:00 local time on Tuesday morning and means that flights from Belarus are banned, while planes from other countries need to reroute in order to avoid flying over the country. ....

Sri Lankan players allowed to fly in by CAA

On Sunday, Civil Aviation Association (CAA) granted permission to Sri Lankan players to come to Pakistan for the remaining PSL matches as requested by the PCB.
Earlier the PCB had requested the CAA to let players in from the C-Category countries during the third wave of Covid-19.
Director Irfan Sabir issued a notification of lifting the ban on 10 Lankan players.
The Lanka players would reach Karachi by a special Qatar Airways flight and would be bound to follow all the SOPs put in place by the Pakistani government. Later they would head to Lahore, from where they would be flying to UAE on 26 ....

Thirteen people working in managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) facilities may be fired for not receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
Since Saturday, it has been mandatory for anyone working at the border to have had at least their first jab, under the Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order.
It has already been revealed that nine Customs workers have lost their jobs as a result of their decision to not receive the vaccine.
New figures provided to RNZ from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) showed 97.4 per cent of the nearly 5000 people who work within MIQ have received the vaccine. ....
