Army installs national flag at Kaman Post, Uri ANI 19 May 2021, 09:18 GMT+10 Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 19 (ANI): The Indian Army has renovated a cafeteria and also installed a 60 feet long national flag pole at Kaman Post. The cafe named Cafe Freedon at Kaman Aman Setu - Friendship Bridge between India and Pakistan, is also the last point of the India-Pak border in the Uri district. The cafe has been restarted after almost four years. The national flag has also been installed at Kaman Post near zero line of LOC at Uri in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. Speaking to ANI, local resident Ghulam Muhammad said, I congratulate the Indian Army for setting up this cafe. They always strive to maintain freedom and peace and develop the area. As part of the Confidence Building Measure, the trade and bus service between the two countries was conducted through the Kaman trade point established on this post.

The Army is also organising Khairiyat Patrols in which their local establishments are sending patrols along with nursing assistants to the villages and distributing medicines, mask, sanitisers, PPE kits & other items, essential to fight COVID-19, an Army official said.

2 LeT terrorists killed in encounter in J-K s Sopore

Two terrorists were killed in the encounter at Nathipora area of Sopore. Search is underway : informed Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet. Following this, Jammu and Kashmir Police in a tweet informed, The terrorists who were neutralized in the encounter belonged to LeT. They have been identified as a local terrorist Wasim Ahmed Lone resident of Hatlangoo Sopore and a foreign terrorist Hamas alias Asrar alias Saria who was active since March 2018 in North Kashmir .
