Dr. Syed Anwar Husain The historic 7 March speech was a watershed one in the political evolution of the Bangali people. This speech touted a clear vision for these people. On the other hand, implicit in this speech, was a mailed fist for the Pakistan military junta. Above all, the speech was a distant thunder for the Pakistan ruling coterie, but also an articulation of not too distant a dream for the Bangalis. The speaker, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Bangabandhu), has since gone down in history as the outstanding person with exemplary oratorical and communicative skill. Indeed, in communication terms, this speech remains the finest specimen.
