The Pennyrile Area Development District Board of Directors heard an update on senior citizen centers in the region and the COVID-19 relief loan program during Monday’s meeting.
Senior citizen centers across the stay have been closed for a significant amount of time during the pandemic, which is a problem for those who depend on them for a multitude of service.  Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living Director Jill Collins says they are waiting on guidance from the state about how to move forward on reopening the centers, and she’s hopeful to have a date at June’s meeting. ....
