Man killed at Warren apartment in ‘senseless act of violence’

WARREN A 28-year-old man is dead and a 27-year-old suspect is in custody facing second-degree murder and weapons charges after a shooting at an apartment complex near Nine Mile and Dequindre roads in Warren on March 12.
Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said officers were dispatched to a 911 call at the Warren Manor Apartments at about 3:30 p.m., where the victim of a “senseless act of violence” was shot five times in the head and neck area. Three of the shots to the head, Dwyer said, were allegedly fired when the victim was on the ground in the parking lot and unable to defend himself. ....
