One might ask about the local “street food” scene in Gordon’s Bay, but never expect a fully fledged, well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing vegetable garden thriving right along Beach Road.
After almost a year of visualising, planning and implementation with the services of a builder, landscaper, local nursery and the combined efforts of two neighbours – backed by the support of the community – the little garden has become a reality.
And although the vegetable garden is not exactly open for anyone to just pluck and take what they wish, it is indicative of a time where we need a sense of self-responsibility to spread to the rest of the community who might also take pride in their immediate surrounds. ....
