Corn Hill festival in Rochester NY canceled for 2021

The Corn Hill Neighbors Association Board of Directors made the announcement Tuesday on Facebook.
“We would like to thank all of the artists, vendors, sponsors and volunteers who make the Festival possible each year,” the post read. “The Festival has been a staple in the Rochester community for over 50 years and we are looking forward to bringing it back in 2022. The Corn Hill Neighbors Association is actively working with the Festival committee and sponsors to find unique ways to keep the spirit of the Festival alive in the absence of the traditional Festival.”
The annual event, one of Rochester’s biggest summertime celebrations, draws more than 100,000 people to the historic city neighborhood each July. Featuring more than 300 artists and craftspeople and dozens of music acts and food vendors, the event dates back to 1969. ....

For the second year in a row, the Corn Hill Arts Festival has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Many of the Rochester area s larger festivals, including the Lilac Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival, and Rochester Fringe Festival, are planning a return to live events this year, with some modifications. Smaller festivals, such as the Corn Hill Arts Festival, are still in flux as they determine how to safely avoid the risks of community spread of the virus, even as vaccinations increase. A post-pandemic world may be in sight, but it s not the reality yet. ....

2021 Corn Hill Arts Festival canceled due to COVID-19

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) For the second year in a row, organizers of the Corn Hill Arts Festival announced this year’s event will not take place due to COVID-19.
The festival normally draws more than 300 vendors and 125,000 visitors in July for a family-friendly weekend with arts and crafts, music, food, and drinks.
“We explored many different options to make the Festival viable, but at the end of the day, the safety and well-being of our community takes priority,” Nick Howell, 2021 Corn Hill Arts Festival chair said Tuesday. “We would like to thank all of the artists, vendors, sponsors and volunteers who make the Festival possible each year.” ....
