PanOrient News/ The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that 2,447,716 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country, indicating that the country can limit the spread of the virus and quickly return to normal life. This comes three weeks after King Mohammed VI launched a national vaccination campaign and took the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine.
The Kingdom of Morocco is the first African country to launch a vaccination campaign against Covid-19, and the vaccines are free of charge for all Moroccans and foreign residents in the country aged 17 years or more.
The Ministry of Health stated that Morocco currently has 7 million doses of coronavirus vaccine, after receiving a second batch – 500,000 doses – of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. This number is expected to increase as Morocco has signed contracts to buy quantities of both the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines to cover 30 million people. ....
