Hyderabad: Extensive efforts are being made to increase online advice in agriculture. For this, a special app has been developed in collaboration with IIIT Hyderabad, Jayashankar Agriculture University, and Bombay IIT. The app was developed under the Indo-Japan Joint Research Laboratory Project under the name CropDarpan. However, in the past, arrangements were made in this app to solve the problems of farmers only on the cotton crop. Arrangements are being made to design apps focusing on other crops in the next stages as well.
The farmer is informed about the diseases caused by the crop. Based on the information, he can stop the disease and increase crop production. This app was created under the Indo-Japan Joint Research Laboratory Project. ....

Hyderabad: Jaishankar Agricultural University, IIT Hyderabad has created triple IT Crop Darpan app. The farmer is informed about the diseases caused by the crop. Based on the information, he can stop the disease and increase crop production. This app was created under the Indo-Japan Joint Research Laboratory Project.
This application solves some problems of farmers. This app will give farmers information about the diseases caused by cotton crop. Information about diseases on other crops is also available in the next updated version of the application. Triple IT Hyderabad Professor P. HYDERABAD: Researchers at IIIT H (International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad) have created Crop Darpan, an application, to help farmers with issues related to crop growth, pests, bacterial, fungal diseases, and nutritional deficiencies.
The main aim of the app, which was developed under an Indo-Japan Joint Research Laboratory Project, is to mimic the presence of an agriculture expert who is not only well versed with visual symptoms of diseases plaguing crops but can also guide the farmers on appropriate measures to tackle the same.
The current prototype has been built for the cotton crop in two languages, namely English and Telugu. “It was however designed in such a way that it is scalable for all crops and can be extended in all Indian languages too. In fact, we have already begun work on seeding the system in Hindi,” said Srinivas ....
