AFTER the anxiety levels rose dramatically in both team camps, two major factors were highlighted in the latest battle of Ipswich .
The first was the match being played like a local derby despite a number of footballers from Western Pride and the Ipswich Knights having not engaged in previous club encounters.
The Knights finished the stronger at Bundamba on Friday night but were unable to penetrate Western Pride s defence a second time to at least salvage a draw.
We didn t have enough quality tonight, Knights head coach Andy Ogden said, reflecting on his team s 2-1 defeat on home soil. ....

THE Ipswich Knights are fast becoming the second half executioners in the Football Queensland Premier League 1 and FFA Cup competitions.
However, while pleased with recent results, head coach Andy Ogden is working on adding more to those powerhouse finishes.
After the Knights scored six second half goals in their latest 7-0 win over Holland Park, Ogden said his ongoing focus was for his team to make better starts.
The Knights have only scored one goal in the first half in previous games before unleashing their attacking might.
We are not coming necessarily from a losing position, Ogden said. But we are coming from a position where we think we can play better. ....

THE Ipswich Knights have three added reasons to advance in the FFA Cup competition by beating Souths at Bundamba on Friday night.
The first is getting another good crowd along after the terrific atmosphere during their recent 2-0 Tuesday night victory over Moggill at the same ground.
It was a great night the other night. The best crowd I ve seen there in a number of years, said head coach Andy Ogden.
He hopes another well-supported home game can help the Knights build momentum.
Returning to Eric Evans Reserve for the fifth round clash, Ogden also wants a win to cleanse any scars from last weekend s 6-0 defeat to Brisbane City in the Football Queensland Premier League 1 match. ....
