The new models include the T180 (Class 5), T280 (Class 6), T380 (Class 7) and T480 (light Class 8). There are also vocational model variants known as the T380V and T480V. They feature a vocational hood, full parent rails and a fixed grille for customers needing Front-engine Power Take-off (FEPTO).
One of the key changes versus the previous generation Kenworth medium-duty trucks is the cab design. Enhancements include increased cabin space, a re-designed interior and new driver control technologies. The new 2.1-meter cab is 8-in. wider than the previous version.
There is a vocational ‘sloped’ hood for the T380V and T480V.Kenworth

Dear Editor:
At a public hearing last Wednesday, only two Alna citizens spoke in favor of a ballot measure to change the town’s Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, to permit “permanent structures” below the Sheepscot River’s normal high water line. Many more citizens, as well as a Newcastle resident across the river and the executive director of the Midcoast Conservancy, spoke in opposition. The ballot measure will be voted on on March 27.
The two proponents were the person who submitted the proposed change, and Jeff Spinney, whose project to excavate a private stone boat ramp on the river has roiled the town for over a year.
Dear Editor:
This month, Alna’s selectmen signed a mediation agreement with Jeff Spinney about the permanent boat ramp he excavated into the Sheepscot River tidal marsh in December. This agreement allows Spinney to keep his private ramp, with supposed use restrictions, even though the ramp violates our Shoreland Zoning Ordinance’s prohibition of “permanent structures.”
The abutters who participated in the mediation did not sign the agreement.
Alna’s selectmen threw in their lot with the ramp-building applicant, who threatened to take the town to court over his previously denied shoreland zoning permits. They ignored objections raised by the abutters and dozens of other Alna and Newcastle residents.

One of Jeff Spinney’s neighbors after another on Zoom Wednesday night criticized his and the town’s shoreland deal. Selectmen signed the agreement they said Spinney, of Golden Ridge Road, also signed and abutters declined to sign. Board members called the agreement a compromise that was in the town’s best interest.
