Covid Surge: Jharkhand Bar Council Restrains Advocates & Their Staff Across State From Performing Physical/ Online Court Work For 7 Days

In order to break the chain of deadly Covid-19 virus, the Jharkhand State Bar Council has resolved to restrain all the Advocates across the states and their staff, from undertaking any Court work, whether physical or online.
The resolution has been put to effect for seven days, starting April 19 (Monday).
The Council has taken note that a huge section of the legal fraternity has fallen prone to the virus and in order to control its spread, strict measures are required.
The resolution stated,

Jharkhand State Bar Council convened an urgent meet today i.e. on 18.04.2021 to discuss the circumstances related to COVID 19 pandemic. It was noted with serious concern that a large number of Advocates and their support staff have fallen ill, and several precious lives have also been lost.
