BURNHAM An interruption in electric service is planned for approximately 370 customers in the Burnham area on Wednesday to allow for permanent repair of a utility pole damaged by a traffic accident during last week’s snowstorm, Penelec spokesman Todd Meyers confirmed to The Sentinel Monday.
Meyers said the outage will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. with service restored by 1 p.m. while crews from Verizon replace one of its utility poles that also carries Penelec electrical lines. A temporary fix was performed after the storm last week, but Meyers said the permanent repair is needed for safety purposes. ....
