Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], May 9 (ANI): In a unique initiative, 40 reformed vagabonds have been deployed for the preparation of food meant for the distribution of food amongst more than 4,000 COVID-19 pandemic affected people.
The one-time beggars , picked up by the Rajasthan Police, were skilled in cooking under the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation ( RSLDC) s scheme.
In January these vagabonds were registered at Sopan Institute, Jagatpura. Under the food distribution programme, more than four thousand people are given free food every day inside Jaipur s Akshaya Patra Foundation. ....

Father-son held for assaulting hospital staff in Pratapgarh | Allahabad News

Prayagraj: A man and his son were arrested on Friday for allegedly assaulting the staff at Pratapgarh district hospital on Friday morning.
The man is identified as Jitendra Pratap Singh, and his son identified as Tushar Singh, residents of Kishanpur (Kandhai).
Police said that on the complaint of the staff, a case under Sections 323, 504, 353, 188 and 269 of IPC, Section of 7 CLA Act, Sections 3and 4 of Epidemic Act was registered against three persons, including Jitendra Pratap Singh, Tushar Singh and Saumitra Shekhar, all residents of Kishanpur. The trio had left a wardboy, Jai Prakash Yadav, injured during the assault.
The incident took place inside Pratapgarh district hospital around 6 am. After a heated exchange between the three attendants of a Covid patient, and the hospital staff over the use of oxygen cylinder, the situation turned uglier as the trio assaulted the staff, leaving a ward boy injured. ....

Covid-19: Probe after woman gets jabs from nurse on call in Kanpur

An auxiliary nursing midwife, while talking over the phone, allegedly administered two shots of Covid-19 vaccine to a woman at a primary health centre in Akbarpur area of Kanpur Rural district, officials said on Saturday.
As the news reached the woman’s family members, they created an uproar at the centre and later senior officials, including the district magistrate and chief medical officer, were informed about the alleged negligence.
The family members told reporters that Kamlesh Kumari, a woman in her 50s, had gone to the Marhauli primary health centre on Thursday to get her first vaccine shot where ANM Archana ended up giving her two doses. ....
