The family of a teenager who was critically injured in a horror crash at Wolvi on Sunday night has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover his medical and rehabilitation costs.
Rykah and another man were flown to Brisbane for treatment following the crash, while a third person, a girl, suffered a knee injury and neck pain.
Gabrielle Wallace, the creator of the GoFundMe campaign and Rykah s aunt, said the teenager was now in an induced coma in a Brisbane hospital.
The campaign has raised more than $1000 since it launched Tuesday morning.
Rykah sadly did not regain consciousness after the accident and due to a severe brain injury remains in an induced coma to allow his body the opportunity to try and heal the damage that has been done, she said. ....

Two people have been taken to hospital with neck injuries following a two car crash on the Wide Bay Highway at Bells Bridge Tuesday morning.
The pair, reported to be a man and a woman, were driving along the highway when their cars collided about 7.40am.
Each reported neck pain following the crash; they were taken to Gympie Hospital in stable conditions. ....

BREAKING: Camper bus crashes in Gympie region's west

Emergency services are treating a person north of Goomeri after the camper bus they were driving veered off the side of the Burnett Highway.
Paramedics are treating the patient at the scene of the crash which happened at Boonara just after midday Monday.
A QAS spokeswoman said the bus was towing a smaller vehicle when it crashed.
They were unable to confirm what injuries the person suffered, if any, but they were in a stable condition.
