The annual crab festival is put on each year by Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church to help raise money for the church.
Festival-goers pack the OLG Grounds to enjoy numerous vendors, carnival rides, live music, boiled crabs and seafood during the three-day event.
Jimmy Osbourn, chairperson for the annual OLG Crab Fest, tells News 25 this is a great festival to bring the community together. “For a lack of a better term, this would be the Disney World for a lot of people to come out and see us and have a great time, have kids on the rides, listen to great music. Thirty-seven years we have done this. The community supports us. We support the community in many ways and the festival itself supports the church and a lot of things that go on inside the youth organization, our church, our needy people, it’s a great event for a great cause.” ....
