JAMMU, June 3: A day after recording 40-day lowest seven deaths, COVID fatalities across Jammu region today against went up to 15 including an under-trial prisoner of District Jail Kathua and six women, while 554 persons tested positive for the virus.
However, COVID patients in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and Associated Hospitals reached 30-day low at 313 nearly one-third from 928 admissions when the second wave was at its peak in first week of May.
“In first week of May, number of COVID positive patients admitted in the GMC Jammu and its Associated Hospitals had reached 928. Today, it came down to 313, the lowest in a month,” GMC Principal Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma told the Excelsior. ....
