MOVES-Tereos replaces head of starch and sweeteners branch

PARIS, March 1 (Reuters) - Christopher Herve, head of
Tereos starch and sweeteners branch, has left the French group
and been replaced by Christophe Lescroart who is returning to
his previous position, a spokeswoman for the company said on
Monday.
The change adds to a leadership shakeup at Tereos, the
world s second largest sugar maker by volume.
In December, an extraordinary board meeting dismissed chief
executive Alexis Duval and appointed Gerard Clay, a cooperative
member and longstanding critic of the previous management, as
chairman.
Lescroart, who resumed his former role on Monday, had been

New Tereos leadership says to seek profit boost for all activities

PARIS, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Tereos will aim to boost the
profitability of its historical French sugar business and its
diversified activities, its new chairman and chief executive
said on Wednesday, following last week s ousting of the
cooperative group s former leadership.
Our priority is improving the operational efficiency of the
group in all its activities, Chief Executive Philippe de Raynal
said in a statement.
De Raynal was named CEO at a board meeting last Friday that
also elected Gerard Clay as chairman, handing victory to a group
of cooperative members who had opposed former management for

PARIS, Dec 18 (Reuters) - An extraordinary board meeting of
sugar group Tereos on Friday elected Gerard Clay as chairman,
his lawyer said, hours after a court rejected a request by the
group to suspend Clay.
The meeting also decided to dismiss Chief Executive Alexis
Duval and name Philippe de Raynal as his successor with
immediate effect, Thibault Guillemin, the lawyer representing
Clay and two other members that Tereos had sought to oust, told
Reuters.
A Tereos spokesman could not be reached immediately for
comment.
